I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping people better relate to and understand their physical bodies. I believe that health and potential are optimized when we can recognize and honor our needs. To that end, I enjoy helping people learn to listen to their body.
Lastly, I believe in the potential of every person, and think a community that moves often and together is one that’s fulfilling to be a part of.
About Me
Welcome! My name is Steve Harris. I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy with 8 years experience in clinical practice, 20 years as a competing endurance athlete, and a lifelong enthusiast in bettering peoples lives through movement.
I landed in PT as a career through my experiences battling injuries along the journey of competitive marathoning. Through the process, I lived and learned what it takes to train hard, recover well, and honor the needs of one’s body holistically through every stage of competition and recovery. A professional career in PT was a natural fit.
Professional Philosophy
I believe that every person finds meaning in some form of movement, and we are our best selves when we can engage with those activities.
I believe that injury is multifactorial, and that the path to long term success balances physical demands, emotional stressors, adequate sleep, and healthy relationships. I am a practitioner of holistic approaches to healing from and preventing injury.
I believe that injuries are part of any person’s life journey, and having someone in your corner who knows what to do when they arise can mitigate uncertainty and focus our energies effectively. I am that person, and have much to offer in helping you meet your goals.
I believe in a hands on approach to care and training. Our time together is fully dedicated to the treatment and training of tissues, movement strategies, and ensuring that your nervous system has every available option for optimal movement.
